Love unfolds

and sends its light

ahead of the giver…

the One who is fearless

in sending her heart

into the dark

and broken places

she is so familiar with.

The One so courageous

she steps past

second and even third chances,

into the hopeless place

no one speaks of

where broken hearts are buried

in the mistaken belief

that love itself

has died…

She is the One

with the light shining

from a fractured heart

heavily scarred into wisdom

and compassion,

the One who truly sees

into the truth  of another

with a clarity

only achieved

by One too long rendered

invisible.
